About The Workshop

Available as an in-house workshop is 'Stormwater Harvesting' from 'WSUD – Making It Work' by Mark Liebman, a consultant and Director of Sustainability Workshop. Mark has been designing successful WSUD projects for over 15 years with numerous awards from the Stormwater Industry Association and a Green Globe Award from the Premier of NSW and is currently helping Blacktown City Council review its WSUD procedures. Mark is a qualified trainer and regularly presents at conferences in Australia and abroad.

This workshop will expose participants to the more difficult aspects of stormwater harvesting from designing for ease of maintenance to performing yeild and levelised cost analysis.

The content of this course is as follows:

Stormwater Harvesting

  • Design of stormwater harvesting systems,
  • What makes a successful harvesting project,
  • Designing for ease of maintenance and longevity,
  • Diversion design approaches,
  • Pumping – M&E requirements,
  • Modelling, model risks and model choice including use of Goldsim and MUSIC,
  • Yield analysis, economics of harvesting & levelised cost analysis,
  • Case Study: Blacktown International Sports Park,
  • Learn about this $4 million stormwater harvesting project, carry out your own design and determine yields and risks.

The workshop equips participants with:

  • Skills to model, design and assess the performance of successful harvesting projects
